The SVC Series switchmode voltage converters from interVOLT are used specifically to step-down the high 24VDC on-board power supply to the lower 12VDC range. this is primarily because 12VDC is a more universally accepted voltage and there is a greater range of accessories and equipment available on the market. the SVC Series is ideal for operating a multitude of 12VDC items including but not restricted to, radio’s, sounders, GPs, radar, sonar, instruments, stereo’s, laptop computers, security systems, lighting, fridges, pumps and much more. the SVC Series are non-isolated which means they utilise a common negative between the input and output. Galvanically isolated versions are also readily available and known as the SVCi Series. In the majority of applications the non-isolated version is preferred, generally because they are less expensive tdan the isolated versions and because the higher specification of the galvanically isolated model may not be required.

DC-DC Converter "Isolated"

The SVCi Series switchmode voltage converters from interVOLT are used specifically to step-down the high 24VDC on-board power supply to the lower 12VDC range. this is primarily because 12VDC is a more universally accepted voltage and there is a greater range of accessories and equipment available on the market. the SVCi Series is ideal for operating a multitude of 12Vdc items including but not restricted to, radio’s, sounders, GPS, radar, sonar, instruments, stereo’s, laptop computers, security systems, lighting, fridges, pumps and much more. InterVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters utilise push-pull technology and purpose designed circuitry to stabilize the output voltage at a pre-determined setting. they are also galvanically isolated which means the input circuit is completely electrically isolated from the output circuit. interVOLT converters are also available in a non-isolated (common negative) version known as the SVC Series. In the bulk of applications the non-isolated version is preferred, generally because they are less expensive tdan the isolated versions and because the higher specification of the galvanically isolated model is not required.
